What is the "Superhandz Warz"?
- it is a period of time that XCMers stood up against magicians to recognize XCM as it's own art form. It spanned several years and took place on many fronts - DVDs(CTG/Cobra), magazine interviews(Genii), the internet/videos (Death Before Me) and even in person at conventions and magic clubs across the country. It ended a couple of years ago and paved way for flourishers/manipualtors/XCMers to do what they please without being constantly badgered by magicians... sure, there are still some old heads out there that will never change, but the general climate for manipulators is much nicer than it used to be! There was a time when XCMers couldn't do anything without being yelled at by magicians, being called jugglers and so on but that has pretty much subsided with a few exceptions. Now there are pure XCM sections of magic stores, XCM forums, XCM Competitions, a market for this kind of manipulation, XCM sections in magazines, XCM products, an XCM radio show and a ton of XCM videos and artists!

This parody style painting was made to capture this moment of time because we think it is a very important one in history! Never before has anyone tried to make card manipulation it's own art form, and completely separate from magic. The thought of XCMers and magicians doing real battle always intrigued us, and this is what we tried to bring to life since this is basically what really happened. Those that know about De'vo when he was a magician know that there were real fights, some ending with police -- many of them were over XCM.

The painting was originally very very brutal and gory, however we decided to remove the gore and brutality. The result is a TON of work for the artist and a very beautiful and interesting piece of art and history.
