Besides being a great magic magazine, this is the world's
first magazine with a column dedicated to Xtreme Card
Manipulation/manipulation and is hosted each issue by the
underground manipulation legend De'vo vom Schattenreich.
This is destined to be one of our favorite issues, as
De'vo turns up the heat in his XCM section. De'vo decided
to bring his a few of his friends and their favorite pet
moves to bring to you one KILLER XCM section!
Ciappi is Italy's finest XCMer and he is also an Ulmen
Trials competitor. his creativity and card handling is
second to none. De'vo invited Ciappi to teach his amazing
"Arc De Triumph" shot. A card walks to the back of your
hand and fires off to your other hand. This is one of our
favorite shots and it's unpublished until now. This one
move is worth the price of the magazine alone, but that
wasn't enough for De'vo, he had to put in even more amazing
material.
Rick Smith Jr. is a world record holder for throwing cards
the furthest and fastest in the world. De'vo brought Rick
Smith Jr. in to teach his "fire flicking", and another one
of his favorite shots... that's right, 2 shots from Rick
Smith Jr!
De'vo then teaches one of his favorite card spins which he
has done for years, it's a commonly done move with many
objects, but rare in the card world. It's part of a combo
he calls "The Eternal Card Spin". A card can turn/spin
virtually forever. De'vo also give you a combo idea in
conjunction with Ciappi's shot. This looks just
impossible....and very visual... simple, yet visual.
And if all of that wasn't enough, De'vo brings in Josef
Runsten from the Handlordz World XCM Tournament to teach
his amazing in the hands 6 packet display called the
"Smooth 6". This is a truly awesome piece of work. 6
individual packets get laid out into your hands, opened and
closed in a smooth manner.
